Bookings
Bookings can be made with accommodation providers advertised on this site by contacting them direct or by using the national booking and information centre.
Unless made by contacting establishments advertising on this site direct, all accommodation bookings whether requested by telephone, fax, e-mail or the book online facility will be carried out by the national booking and information centre - visitscotland.com and all contracts entered into will be with visitscotland.com. Visitscotland.com is the trading name of eTourism Limited. eTourism Limited is a company registered in Scotland with company number SC226890 and having its registered office and principal place of business at Fairways Business Park, Deer Park Road, Livingston, EH54 8AF. visitscotland.com's VAT registration number is 796980157. Accommodation Booking Facility Terms & Conditions
Edinburgh's Hogmanay 2008 Competition.
- Closing date is 10th December 2008
- Promotion is open to UK, CI, IoM and ROI residents aged 18 and over except employees and their immediate families of VisitScotland Ltd, Cross Country Trains, Edinburgh Winter Festivals, their agents or anyone professionally connected with the promotion.
- Acceptance of terms and conditions is a condition of entry; entry instructions form part of the terms and conditions.
- No purchase necessary.
- No responsibility can be taken for lost, delayed or non-transmitted entries. Only one entry per person is allowed.
- The first name drawn at random from all entries received will win the main prize of 4 tickets to Edinburgh's Hogmanay Concert in the Gardens, First Class rail travel on Cross Country Trains and 4 '1 day' Edinburgh Passes.
- Accommodation is not included in this prize. You must be able to make your own way to Edinburgh.
- Prizewinners will be notified by email within 48 hours of closing date.
- Prizewinners may be required to take part in publicity.
- All prizes are non-transferable and there is no cash alternative.
- In the event of unforeseen circumstances the promoter reserves the right to offer alternative prizes of equal or greater value.
- For name and county of prizewinner, contact the promoter after 05/01/09
- The promoter's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Cross Country Trains Terms & Conditions.
- Each winner will receive a travel request form on which to detail the preferred day and time of travel. CrossCountry will endeavour to match your date and time requirements but this may not be possible. CrossCountry does not guarantee to provide travel on the day requested or at the desired time of travel.
- The prize is not transferable. The prize cannot be exchanged for any form of cash or travel alternative. The prize is four free First Class return tickets valid for use on CrossCountry services only.
- No responsibility for lost tickets will be taken by CrossCountry – replacements cannot be issued.
- The ticket will be valid for First Class Travel only.
- The ticket will only be valid on the CrossCountry network – the tickets will not be accepted by other train operators. If part of your journey is with another operator you must buy a ticket for that part of the route; the ticket holder can only travel for free on the part of the route operated by CrossCountry. For details of the CrossCountry network, please visit www.crosscountrytrains.co.uk
- Tickets will only be valid on the date and time specified on the ticket.
- The National Conditions of Carriage apply for travel on all CrossCountry trains – see www.nationalrail.co.uk/times_fares/nrcc/ for details.
- The Promoter is CrossCountry Trains, 5th Floor, Cannon House, 18 Priory Queensway, Birmingham, B4 6BS.
- In the event of any dispute regarding the Terms and Conditions, the conduct, results and any other matters relating to this competition, the decision of the Promoter shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.
